Abstract
The article considers the objective preconditions for digital transformation in the industrial sector of the economy. It is determined that at the turn of the XX and XXI centuries a new, service model of business organization in industry was formed, which provides for the transition from one-time sale of the product to the sale of services for its maintenance and modernization throughout the period of operation. The peculiarities of the process of transition of industrial enterprises from product to service model of business organization are investigated. It is proved that the use of all the advantages of the service model is possible only if you use the opportunities that arise in the enterprise as a result of digital transformation of all business processes and management processes. It is proved that at the strategic level the main trends are the transition from studying the needs of the buyer to their formation and reducing the distance between producer and buyer, which significantly reduces the value chain, excluding them from various intermediaries. The main trends occurring at the tactical level of management in the following elements of industrial enterprise management are studied: product development, production, logistics, marketing and sales, after-sales service, security, recruitment and retention. It is determined that today in the structure of production of even the most advanced industrial companies, the share of "smart" technology and devices that can use all the benefits of the digital economy does not exceed 40%. It is proved that this state of affairs leads to significant problems in the organization of the management process of industrial enterprises, because it is clear that for a long time industrial companies will be forced to organize the production, sale and maintenance of both "traditional" machinery and technology. The conclusion is made about the inevitability of digital transformation for large industrial enterprises, as well as the need to reduce the period of parallel use of product and service model of business organization.
