EXISTENTIAL TRENDS, CHALLENGES AND CONSEQUENCES OF GLOBALIZATION TO ENSURE THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY
Abstract
The theoretical and methodological provisions of globalization are summarized and it is determined that it has become one of the defining existential trends of the second half of the 20th century and is currently only intensify-ing, having both a significantly positive impact and negative consequences for each of the world's economies. It is sub-stantiated that globalization spreads to all spheres of social life mainly through economy, politics and culture, but the most decisive in the sense of involvement in progress is directly economic integration. It has been determined that the use of its advantages and opportunities can accelerate the processes of ensuring the competitiveness of the national economy. It was emphasized that the state policy of ensuring the competitiveness of the national economy in the condi-tions of globalization should develop the possibilities for integrating the economy into global economic processes and attracting investments, cooperation among countries in various spheres of economic interaction, exchange and import of advanced technologies, implementation of export potential, growth of capital and labor mobility , streamlining busi-ness processes, attracting the resources of international financial and economic organizations to maintain stability in conditions of shocks and crises. It was concluded that within the framework of competitive policy it is important to pro-vide tools for identifying and countering the challenges and threats of globalization, among which are the strengthening of lags in the development of the national economy and its dependence on the markets for resource provision and sales of goods (services), the growing role of TNCs and their influence on political and economic decisions, destabilization of trade and economic relations, supply and sales chains due to conflicts of polarization of world economic centers, spread of hybrid intervention in internal economic processes, problems of preservation and effective use of intellectual and personnel potential due to complications of social and labor relations. The thesis was developed that globalization has become a leading prerequisite for the digital transformation of the national economy and the development of its information and communication potential in the conditions of solving the tasks of ensuring competitiveness.
