Abstract

Abstract. The article deals with the problems inherent to the current stage of modern informatics development as well as the main tendencies in informatics are determined, which consist essentially in expanding the functional possibilities of information technologies for the processing and use of graphics and visual images. The searches for effective methods of visual representation of cumbersome data sets, as well as methods for their use for automated task solving in various spheres of social practice, are ongoing. One of these methods is infographics. The main advantages and disadvantages of infographics are considered, the algorithm of creation of its product is developed, the review of effective tools of infographics application is carried out, as well as the reasons, which caused its rapid development. As a result of the research, it has been determined that taking into account the objective tendency of data volumes increasing, interactive visualization will become an instrument that will be of critical practical importance in the near future.
