Abstract

The article proves that water use in hospitality industry establishments is an important aspect of ensuring guest comfort and effective business functioning. It has been substantiated that rational use of water in hospitality industry establishments has a significant economic effect, which makes it possible to reduce costs and increase the competitiveness of enterprises. The main economic aspects of using water economically are reducing water costs, increasing production efficiency, and reducing environmental impact. Modern water-saving technologies include various innovative solutions, such as low-water-consumption lamps and appliances, rainwater harvesting systems, wastewater treatment systems, smart water management systems, and high-efficiency irrigation systems. Foreign experience in water use in hospitality industry establishments has been studied, which made it possible to identify the following approaches to economic water resource management: Environmental certifications and standards, use of modern technologies, education and guest attraction, and economic incentives. The experience of domestic hospitality industry establishments in implementing environmental initiatives has been analyzed. It was proven that the creation of a perfect water resources management system in hospitality industry establishments is one of the main conditions for their effective functioning. It will create a superadditive effect, which will include three components: Economic, environmental, and social. The economic component will be manifested in reducing water supply and drainage costs, reducing electricity costs, and increasing the efficiency of operations. The environmental component will contribute to the conservation of water resources through less consumption, reducing pollution through wastewater treatment, and preserving biodiversity by preserving the natural aquatic habitat of various species of animals and plants. The social component will help to improve the reputation of the hospitality establishment and attract new customers, increase the environmental awareness and behavior of guests, and improve working conditions by creating more comfortable and safe working conditions for staff.
