Publication Ethics and Editorial Policy

1. Publication ethics and editorial policy are fundamental components of the functioning of the University’s scientific journals, as they define the standards of academic integrity, transparency, and responsibility in the field of scholarly communication. The policies of the University’s scholarly journals are implemented in accordance with the recommendations of leading international organizations, in particular the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which establish globally recognized standards for editorial practice, research evaluation, and publication quality assurance. Compliance with these international standards ensures the integration of the University’s scientific journals into the global academic community, enhances trust in research results, and strengthens the University’s reputation as a research institution.

2. The editorial policy of the University’s scientific journals is based on the following principles:

  • academic integrity;
  • independence of editorial decisions;
  • transparency of editorial procedures;
  • responsibility of participants in the publication process;
  • fairness and impartiality of peer review;
  • ensuring the reliability of scientific results;
  • openness of scientific communication;

3. The editorial board of the University’s periodical journal, in accordance with the recommendations of COPE, WAME, and DORA, ensures transparency of the processes of submission, peer review, and publication of articles, prevention of plagiarism, data falsification, and duplicate publication, and implements clear and transparent procedures for handling complaints, issuing corrections, retracting articles, and submitting appeals.

4. The core principles of publication ethics in the University’s scientific journals are academic integrity, the principle of genuine authorship, disclosure of potential conflicts of interest, confidentiality in the use of manuscripts and authors’ data, editorial independence, objectivity, and transparency of publication procedures.
